Bah to Lipton and their US residents only rules!
Im a horrible bicyclist.
as a result I shall get skinned knees.
what will make me look more youthful than sporting two skinned knees?!
M.
I love love love to ride my bike. Unfortunately, my bike now is so old and rusty. The tires need to be re-pumped each and every time I take it out. A new bike would be totally awesome, and if I won, I would donate my old one somewhere where it will be used as lovingly as I have used it! I'm so going to link back to your site as well!
Well, at least I have a newish bike :) Boo to U.S. only but good luck to the entrants.
How interesting would it be to have an ice cream truck tool around to the tunes of AC/DC (maybe some Ozzy too?)
I am afraid of bicycles and horses and any other thing I ride that I don't have control over. But I want to get over that!
I also linked back to you today.
Have a great Monday!
I have not worked in a year and with the way gas prices are rising, I told my husband I should buy a bike. By winning a bike, I would not only save money but, get back into shape from a long cold Midwestern winter. Thanks for your post
I'd love a chance for a new bike! Count me in!
Oops, Would love TWO chances to win a bike! I've linked back to you!
Please enter me twice. I posted about your giveaway on my blog at http://losingitandlovingit.com/blog/35/free-bike-giveaway/
I think this will help us embrace our youthful spirit because we'll be bringing back memories of our childhood and since we started working out together a few months ago, we have more energy, just like we had as kids.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Diana? Are they being persnickety and not allowing them Canadians to enter as well?
(I mean, some Canadians are really quite nice. Except for the Canadian geese, who throw hissy fits when I try to use their walking trail.)
I don't necessarily need a new bike. I've had mine since, oh, 2001. Sure, it got all rusty on the handlebars and the other metal places, and yes, the hand grips pretty much disintegrated. But my husband spraypainted the metal and gave me new hand grips.
But my husband really needs a new bike. His is from, quite simply, the town dump. Yes, it was dropped off at the local landfill, and yes, he's riding it anyway. My brother rescued it from the dump, cleaned it off and gave it to my husband. The tires are worn down, and the hand brakes aren't top of the line. And it looks like it was made circa 1986. But he's been riding it. But I would really *love* for him to get a new bike. He really deserves it!
So that's my entry. And I live in Georgia, so I'm a U.S. resident. I'm posting a link back to you, so pleas enter me twice. Thanks!
I haven't biked since...oh say grade 5 and now ten years later, I've got my mind set on exercise and triathlons...what better way to be youthful than to get back on that bike 10 years later and train for something that'll get me to goal weight?
Well I'm not a US resident, but if I may, I'd like to enter on behalf of my sister, Susan, who is a US resident. She is also 10 years younger than me, so that makes her youth personified! She's also a poor grad student, who recently mentioned that she'd like to start biking to work as a way to save some cash.
Ooh! Count me in! I would LOVE to win a bike! We are moving closer to the canal in a few months and it's the ultimate place to bike ride! (if you have a bike that it...)
I, like everyone, would love to win a bike! I actually just started bike commuting last week and since it is 14 miles and i am riding on a mountain bike, well, a road bike would come in VERY handy!
I would love to win this bike! I use to ride all the time when I was younger, so this will bring back memories! Plus, I would love to ride with my kids!
I posted, so add me twice!
http://thehomeschoolway.blogspot.com/2008/05/contest.html
I would love to win a bike! I actually have no been on a real bike in ohh I don't know 12 years or so? I've always wondered if its possible to forget hot to ride a bike considering how hard it seemed when I was a kid. Anyhow, I live in Brooklyn NY and would love to see what its like to ride my bike around neighborhoods before I move to the country in September, which would be useful there too!
I rode my bike a lot as a kid and basically lived on it, and I'd really like to indulge my inner child and feel the freedom of riding a bike again.
So yes, winning would be incredibly cool!
Lorrie
PS: and I linked back to you on my blog! woo two entries!
I still consider myself pretty youthful, but I remember my crazy young(er) days when I used to love trail riding, trying to get 'air' off of every tree root or bump in the pavement, riding so fast that the wind in my face was the only thing that mattered. If I win the bike, I promise to relive those days more often.
And I'll start biking to work as well :)
Will be linking to you on my blog tout de suite!
Yay for free bikes! I'd love a new bicycle to play with...the last bike I had was when I was 12 years old. It was a used "big people" bike, and I LOVED IT. Until they stole it from the front of my house!! We eventually found it...and then they stole it again!
I never got another bike after that, but I would love to relive that joy of riding a bike once again....and I'd lock it up real well this time!
I would love to win a new bike! I broke out my old one just about a week ago, and after my first ride with my partner and my little girl (who rode in a bike trailer), I realized my bike frame (a Huffy!) was ridiculously small for me. I need to lose about 20 pounds, so I'd appreciate all the help I can get!
Winning this bike will rather help me SPREAD my youthful spirit, by gifting it to my eldest brother and make him exercise more often.
I blogged about you here:
http://www.internationalfreebies.net/2008/05/05/blog-contest-fuji-crosstown-bike/
I hope I win!

Hmm.. is this a regular .. uhmm no gears beach bike.. I love those I had a bike as a kid with a banana seat.. ( does it have a banana seat and a red flag.. KIDDING!!!!!!!!! my bike was neon shiney metal yellow.. come to think of it.. it was a bit tacky LOL.. so why should I get the bike..Well chances are I will ride it very fast down hill screaming WEEEEEEEEEEEEE.. hey only kids do that right???? so there.. lol..hmm I am under 5 feet so that makes me Kid size right? lol okay I give up.. I am going now..
Riding a bike makes my hoo-ha happy therefore embracing my youthful spirit!!!
Please enter me 2x, I'm linking back to you :-)
Whenever you here someone say “It’s like riding a bike, you never forget.” I always remember the first time I rode a bike! When my dad let go and let me fly, what fear and then exhileration I felt! I still feel that exhileration every time I ride a bike. Of course, since our bike was stolen a few weeks before I gave birth to my son and we haven’t had the funds to replace it, it’s been a while since I have been on a bike. But I know if I had a bike I would be able to lose those extra pounds and of course regain that youthfulness that is associated with riding a bike.
Sing it with me....Bicycle, Bicycle....I want to ride my bicycle!!!
I have 3 kids, but no bike of my own.....and would love to be able to ride with them rather then watching them from the curb.
Renee
Enter me twice! I linked to you!
I remember being a kid and riding my bike (with a basket and a bell, of course) all the time. And then sometime in middle school some jackass made a crack about how my tires looked flat when I rode my bike because I was so fat. Ouch. I gave my bike to my cousin and haven't been on a bike since (not counting spinning).
I've been thinking about getting a bike so I could ride it to work instead of driving. It'd be good exercise and better for the environment, but I mainly want to do it because I miss the rush of riding down a hill and the feel of the wind on my face. Ahh to be young again.
(And if I win I promise to get an awesome basket and ring-ring bell to pimp out my awesome bike.)
Oh wow, I would LOVE a new bike. I am not the luckiest, but what could it hurt? Enter me!
One of my favorite things about childhood was riding my bike! I rode EVERYWHERE, but unfortunately I was not the most graceful child on a bike. I think I wrecked more than I rode the thing! And I still have the battle scars to prove it. Unfortunately, as my weight went up, my bike couldn't support me anymore, so I had to give it away, years ago. I also had the misfortune not once, but TWICE of having my bicycle stolen. If I win this one, I promise to lock it up:)
Riding down hills with my son! He just got his big boy bike and wants to ride all day and night but he is sad that mom doesnt have a bike!
This bike will help me embrace my youthful spirit by allowing me to ride with my whole family, we always rode togeter as kids. My husband and I share a bike so only one of can ride at a time :( . I will also wear silly hats and ride with my legs outstretched and pretend I'm losing control (I saw that in a movie lol) I may even let my hubz ride on the handle bars!!
I linked ya!! Thanks so much!!
It'll embrace my youthful spirit because bike riding if a childhood hobby of mine, but I haven't done it in years.
Thanks for the contest!
oh, just FYI (hey, i may win, *fingers crossed*) email is orangehands @ gmail . com
What could be better than seeing a truly transformed 53-year old couch potato ride her bicycle to the Y? As a regular newspaper columnist in our town, I think we'd get a LOT of mileage - not only out of the bicycle, but also out of Lipton's Free Your Y campaign! Who knows...maybe we could turn it into a nationwide cross promotion among local YMCA's and Lipton! This bike would fit me to a tea!!
(drools with bike-lust)
Ooh, I SO want this bike! Because (here's the pitch!) then I can go biking with my daughters all summer long! Rendering me thinner, fitter, and a poster-child for mother-daughter bonding! It's like a Hallmark commercial, really. :-)
And I am absolutely linking back to you! :-) Have a wonderful week.
V.
I have not owned my own bike for well over 10 years. I used to love riding my bike when I was a kid but as I grew older, I stopped!
A new bike would be a wonderful way to start riding again and add another element of exercise to my life! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
This all reminded me of the first time my dad took of my training wheels.. Banana seat with the stripe, basket with 3 flowers, and a ring-ring bell as well. Anyway, he started me up by our barn and pushed me. I went flying onto the rock in our back yard that we used to build fires on. Luckily, there wasn't a fire going at the time! Ever since that day, I've never stopped riding.
When I was a kid I would ride my bike for hours during the Spring and Summer. It was by far my favorite thing to do. I haven't ridden a bike in years!(I'm only 25, but its probably been like 10+ years since I've ridden a bike) I would LOVE to win a bike. My boyfriend and I just started running, but something tells me(the panting & complaining) that he won't be sticking to it, and I love being outside during this time of year. A bike would totally enable me to do that!
Hi, I would like to win the bike to help me complete a triathalon.
Wow, it'd be great to win a bike! A bike could certainly aid me in finding my youth. Oh I've got a youthful spirit alright, but due to being obese, it's a bit buried. A bike could most certainly help unbury it. And, since it's my birthday in a couple weeks, how perfect would that be! By the way, I'm linking back to this site so please enter me twice! Thanks!
My kids stole my bike. So I want to look more youthful and kid-like, I need a new bike so I can ride their hineys into the ground!
I am, after all, SuperMom!
We bought our 11 year old a new bike this year and I could use a new one to keep up with him - that will keep me youthful! I can't win my own bike giveaway but maybe I can win yours!
I added a link to your contest from my contest post, 2 chances are indeed better than one. :-)
A new bike would not only improve my world, but would improve my dog's world- I can't run/walk fast enough to give him a real workout but he loves to run with a bike, and since I don't have one....
A new bike would be awesome in my world. I could ride it to work more quickly than walking for sure.
I could also spend some time on an awesome local track racking up the miles this summer.
What a cool program! Thanks Lipton for your generosity! I am linking back to this blog too.
I would love the chance for a free bike because it would give me back my childhood joy of riding bikes back.
When I was a little girl, I rode a bike all the time. My brother and I would compete to see who could turn 180 degrees the fastest.
One day, feeling brave, I turned my wheels so quickly that my body and bike where literally at a 30 degree angle to the ground. Just as I was pulling back up, the wheel hit a rock. The bike slipped from my grasp and flew one direction while my body skidded across the rocky pavement. Unfortunately, I was wearing a tank top, so you can imagine the severe road burn and shredded skin on my arm, it was a horrific sight!
After that incident, I was afraid of bikes, but maybe it's time to embrace that old youthful spirit. I'll just be sure to leave out the competitive part, heh.
Thanks again for the chance! Good luck everyone!
As a kid, I had a very cool "Sea Princess" Huffy Bike. But I didn't have anywhere to ride it. We lived on a steep hill with a private drive in a questionable neighborhood.
As an adult, I live in a very rideable neighborhood and I have no bike.
One of my weight loss goals is to start riding my bike to work in combination with public transportation (our city buses have bike racks!). I would love a snazzy new bike to kickstart my more active adult life!
I refuse to grow up. Period. I shall link back to you!
I have been wanting a bike for a long time now. Do you think I would appear youthful with a bike trailer full of kids hitched to the back of it? I could maybe pretend that I'm just a babysitting teenager instead of a minivan driving soccer mom of 3.
Since I started working out regularly last year, I've noticed a dramatic improvement in both by body shape, body image, and body energy -- BEING ACTIVE is how I embrace my youthful spirit! :)
Nothing says Youthful Spirit like being able to take a bike ride with my soon-to-be three year old.
Imagine - me on a sparkly bike and my kid on his candy apple red tricycle! Good times!
I would love a new bike. My three-year-old daughter would love a young, spirit filled mom to ride with her. I am a teacher, so soon, I will have the summer months open for bike riding with my girl! It wold be fun!!!!!!!! And yes, I will link back to you. Thanks so much.
I want it! I want it! Doesn't that embrace our youthful spirit by sounding like a whining kid? :)
See, and if I won the bike I could ride to your house for our walk.
Include me twice, linking back now :)
I used to be an avid bike rider when I was little and I wanted to get back into it, so last year I saved up some money and bought a decent bike. Okay so it was a Wal-Mart cheapy, but it worked for what I wanted it for.
This year, I go to get it out of the garage since it got warm, and I had even bought a child seat for my new son, lo and behold some a$$ stole it out of my garage. I knew I should of gotten a new lock on that thing. Not only was my bike gone, but my older son's was too. Now I gotta get two new bikes. BOO!!! :(
I hate this town, if stuff isn't tied down it's sure to disappear. Especially since we live next door to the junk trader man.
Awesome - a bike! I regularly bike to work, and a new bike would make that a lot easier. Thanks!
Hey, I forgot to mention that I linked to your bike promo!
Got my hands on the bars,
And my tush on the seat,
Gonna pedal that thing
With my healthy two feet!
When people inquire
How I got so spry,
I'll tell them, "Honey,
You got to Free Yo' Y!"
:) Rebecca
I'm entering for my wife. I just got a new bike and am really excited about spending some quality time pedaling around with my two year old twin girls. I really want my wife to be included in the fun, but sadly we haven't been able to afford to get her a new bike.
This could be an opportunity to keep the whole family young.
I linked you over at Guess How Much I Weigh as well.
I love the site.. Please enter me into the free bike contest. I have been changing my lifestyle since feb of 08 and have lost 40 pounds and am feeling great!! i have recently tried to start bike riding but the bike i have is 15 years old and a womens bike with the baby seat for a kid on the back. whatever works!! maybe a new bike would help me out.
thanks!
I just got a job at a bakery in my area and have decided to get rid of my gas sucker of a car and go green and do something positive for my health. The new job is not across town so why dont I just walk you say? Well being that bakeries generally open in the wee hours I'll be needing every extra hour of sleep I can get and a bicycle provides faster transportation than walking. Plus my last bike was stolen 2 years ago, I'm a poor, poor student and cant afford a new one and would really like to punch up my evolving healthful lifestyle with any extra forms of fitness. So there, I really, really want a new (or old, or borrowed or blue) bike!! please and thank you.
ps: did I mention I'll be working as a bakery and will need any sort of extra workouts after being taunted by baked goods all day??
I would love to win a bike so I can get one of those tag-a-long thingies for my daughter to ride with me. I think she would enjoy it more than walking and my thighs would appreciate it. I haven't belonged to a gym since last October and it shows.
I'd love to win a bike. We've been pricing bikes for the family and just haven't been able to get the money together! Especially now since the move is about to happen!
Well, I'd like to be in... and I'll be linking back for that second entry later today!
I would love to win this bike, I haven't ridden in at least ten years which is definately back in my youth. It would be like being a teenager again
My daughter's birthday is May 10th and she will be 9 years old. We are buying her a bike for her birthday!
Not because all kids like bikes, but because she has never learned how to ride a bike without training wheels due to being over-weight and not being able to balance very well. She has been following Suzanne Somers Somersize program, it's a healthy WOE and has lost 11 lbs. since March.
I am so proud of her and want so much to encourage her to not only eat healthy but to incorporate exercise in her daily routine.
I would love to WIN this bike so that I can really be a positive example, ...riding along side her to better health and creating loving, lasting childhood memories for her!
Thank you for your consideration, enjoy the rest of your day!
BetsC
I'm tring to get fit and set a better example for my daughter. A bike, which I don't have would take some stresses off my running legs.
I agree with Aaron, a bike would be great-especially since I have bad knees and running does me in!
Yay!
Oh my Wally-world bike is irreparable - it would be "sweet" to win one from Lipton.
I'll link back too! Thanks
Winning this bike will bring back all the memories I have as a child, riding with Dad across town for Dairy Queen ice cream. Not to mention racing with Dad through the streets of town!
OK, at my age, I probably won't be racing anymore, but having a bike again will feel like freedom! Out in the fresh air and sun, I'll fly along simply by the effort of my legs and heart.
I may be 51 on the outside, but on the inside, I am saying "Catch me if you can!"
Here's my link back to your post:
http://www.garbagethatgoo.com/2008/05/08/who-can-resist-a-free-bike/
Riding a bike in my neighborhood and breathing in the fresh mountain air would give my skin a youthful glow! Linking to your contest at my blog!
Path to Health
I get 2 entries, I put a post with a link to your giveaway on my blog:
Here
I don't even own a bike and haven't since I was a kid! I think winning this bike and having the opportunity to ride again, will definitely help me embrace my youthful spirit! ;)
Bev
I would love a road bike so I could commute to work. I am also an avid tea drinker :) I've linked back to your post here: Run For Life
I'd love to have a new bike that I could use to commute to work with. Much better than using a gas burner, wouldn't you say?
This would help me embrace my youthful spirit by allowing me to keep up with my Speed Racer-like 7 year old, who rides faster than any little kid I've ever seen. :) Thanks for the contest!
And here's a second post to let you know I blogged about the contest here...
http://mastereclectic.blogspot.com/2008/05/win-free-bike.html
Thanks!
Thanks for the contest! I've linked back to your post too.
winning this fabulous bike will help me embrace my youthful spirit by inspiring me to get outside!
I've had my bike since I was 11, and instead of making me feel youthful, it just reminds me that I am much much too old for it. A new bike would allow me to donate my old bike to a new 11 year old and get back to biking.
I would love to win this!!Winning this contest would help me embrace my youthfull spirit because I could go on family bike rides with my children!!I will leave a link to this article on my blog as well!!Thanks for the great oppertunity!!
Since I started working out last year, I feel so much better -- both physically and mentally. I'm stronger, both internally and externally. I run, I take belly dancing classes, I walk every chance I get, and I lift weights at least three times a week. I really need to add a bike! :)
P.S. I'm giving away a free bike, too, but today is the LAST DAY to enter! (The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.)
After years of being overweight, walking not only helped me lose weight, but it did, in fact, help me feel younger again. So much younger that now I seem to have started entering 5K races. Who knew?
Of course, a new bike would help my knees feel a lot younger as well...
Winning the Lipton branded bike would actually make me appear older - because that means I could ditch my current child-sized Huffy Mt. Storm. As a 24-year old, I'm pretty sure I look ridiculous on this bike that was made for 9-12 year olds. Thanks for the contest!
What a great giveaway, Diana! Count me in. I can just picture how youthful I'll look pedaling down the sidewalk sporting a ponytail and a baseball cap. hehe
I'll link back, too... so count me in twice. :)
Great contest! I was thinking about getting a bike for me and my husband so we can try something different other than walking. I haven't had a bike since I was around twelve. Hopefully I only have to buy one. :) Thanks.
Well the bike would certainly allow me to ride with my kids in turn I would be more kidlike and youthful.
riding bikes makes me feel like a kid again.hope i win.
deferg1 AT Yahoo dot com
If I were to win this bike, I would give it to a friend that wants to ride with her children.
When I was a kid, my brother and I had to share a bike. He was younger than me, but taller and stronger by an early age. So... he'd put me on the handlebars and we'd ride around our neighborhood park. I haven't owned a bike since way back then, but thinking about having one again brought back a flood of beautiful memories. If I were to win this contest, I promise not to ride anyone around on the handlebars, but I think it would give me an excuse to take off the virtual "training wheels" and kick my fitness routine into high gear.
Thanks for doing this, Diana.
j
PS: Here's my link!
Thanks to Cynthia at GarbageThatGoo for pointing me to your blog!
I am hoping to win for my wife actually - I was able to get a used bike on Craigslist last summer, but she doesn't have one. We'd like to ride with our kids!
I love riding bikes. I haven't for a couple of years now, but I would love to start again. I just found some good paths near my house, that I would like to try out. I just need a bike.
Since I don't have a blog heres my e-mail steen11@gmail.com
I could sure use a new bike. I haven't had one since I was in college. my email is: elmer12533 AT aol dot com
