Today is my birthday so Happy Birthday to me! No special plans, I was going to slack off and sleep in but I got a phone call on Friday saying I have to attend a meeting, I have NO idea what its about but since they used the words "important" and "special" I thought I should attend, especially since I haven't actually been into the office in about a month!
Since the weather was supposed to be cooler, I pulled out a nice brown pantsuit that has been too tight on me for several years and it fits perfectly (size 30/32) Actually the pants are a bit baggy, especially in the waist but even in the hips and thighs, thankfully I'll be sitting and not making a speech or presentation or it could get embarrassing. So now of course I checked the weather and they are saying a high of 90 tomorrow. Enough already!! I realize I live in Florida and its supposed to be subtropical here but I wouldn't mind a few days in the low 80's to really cool things off around here! The meeting should be over by 11am and the conference room at the hotel is always cold so I think I’m just going to wear it anyhow and skip those urges to cuddle up to whoever is sitting next to me! Besides, by the time it actually turns cold, it will be way too big!!
If I have time, I’ll get Ken to take my picture before I leave. No matter what the weather, I won’t be eating cake today because Ken is making (read: going to Publix to buy) a fruit salad instead of cake for my birthday treat. Looks yummy doesn’t it!
