I took this photo a few months ago and found it today while looking through photos. We woke up one morning at 4am and decided we wanted to go to our favorite beach on the East Coast of Florida. So being the spontaneous people that we are, we put a cooler in the car, grabbed our flipflops, sunscreen and of course the puppers and headed off on a three hour drive. About half way through Florida, on route 60, there isn't much of anything, just farm land and cow fields. We stopped at the only thing out there, a little gas station and convenience store to refuel and grab some snacks and when we came out, this is what we saw...the sunrising and the mist on the field.
Today I was feeling reminiscent and trying to look back at how my life has changed. Today I declared bottom. Meaning this is my rock bottom and I refuse to let myself sink any lower. Between my unemployment and his unemployment and our continued lack of income, we've changed a lot, grown a lot and have been humbled. I think that I've spent enough time reflecting on all of the things I've done wrong that have led me down this path. Now is the time for me to look at what I've done right in my life and say, enough is enough. This is rock bottom, there may be something lower but I refuse to go there. So this photo of the sunrise seems appropriate to symbolize the dawn of a new beginning
